Our Journey Begins...
We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time and miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands. -- Kristi Larson
Welcome to Leah's web log (blog). After many years of prayer and mutual discussion about adopting a child of our own we visited Bethany Christian Services in Fairfax, Virginia in November of 2004 to learn more about their international adoption program. A few months later, we mailed off a formal application to adopt a child from China and our journey officially began. After nearly six months of drafting, coordinating, authenticating and processing volumes of paperwork, our dossier was accepted by the Chinese Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA). On June 20, 2005, our dossier was logged into the CCAA system (commonly referred to as your LID - or log in date) and the waiting began. It's impossible to explain the feeling we have for the child we've yet to hold in our arms, so we won't begin to try! We've set up this weblog to update family and friends and plan to post new entries periodically with pictures, thoughts, and information about Leah. We're also planning on updating the site while we're traveling in China. At the end of each journal entry there will be a place for your comments. While in China, we'll be using an alternate email address, stonejdn3@yahoo.com, so please update your address books. Join as we capture the memories of this amazing journey to Leah.

I hope you will like what I am sending Leah. I know she has so many presents. But I made her a
very special present.
Hope you get this message!! Wish I could go with Judy to Wash. to watch your animals..then I would get to see Leah . But I can't leave Hank alone anymore.
