Still Waiting...

Well, we were hoping to hear something this week about our travel, but unfortunately, we didn't. We'll keep praying and know that we'll be with Leah very soon.

On a much happier note, we're driving to Fredericksburg, Virginia this morning (about an hour south of DC) to have lunch with some friends of ours who adopted a baby girl about nine months ago. Her name's Elizabeth and she's a doll. Elizabeth was a "Child of Promise" adoption. She was born deaf, but otherwise healthy and full of energy. She turned three last weekend. Shelby, her Mom, has a degree in deaf studies and taught sign language. A true match from God! Deana met them at the airport when they returned from China and we haven't seen them since (I've never met Elizabeth). We can't wait to see her and our friends too of course. I'm hoping Elizabeth teaches us a few words in sign language!

Leah, your grandma is right. Your parents have been such a blessing to us in sharing in our joy of Elizabeth and we are anxious to share in their joy as they bring you home. Waiting to meet you. Praying in Fredericksburg, The McKenzie's
